Abstract

ABIAGUE NICOT, Carlos. Acupuncture analgesia in hand surgery. MEDISAN [online]. 2010, vol.14, n.5, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1029-3019.

A descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out in 112 patients with hand surgery at the Assistance Budget Unit from Boniato neighborhood in Santiago de Cuba, from January, 2006 to September, 2007, with the purpose of evaluating the results of the acupuncture analgesia in surgery of the distal upper limb. In the series male sex, 25-35 and 58-68 years age groups and carpal ganglion prevailed, the latter as more common diagnosis. This procedure was effective and safe as it allowed to perform hand surgeries with minimal complications.
