The clinical case of a 45-year-old woman with history of hypertension is described, who was admitted to "Dr. Juan Bruno Zayas Alfonso" General Teaching Hospital of Santiago de Cuba due to a giant simple hepatic cyst for 3 years that was removed by means of laparoscopic surgery. The patient made good progress and was discharged without complications, but she was followed up by outpatient monitoring.
