Abstract
ARMAS PEREZ, Luisa et al. Importance of the chemotherapy evaluation in patients with tuberculosis. MEDISAN [online]. 2011, vol.15, n.8, pp. 1055-1062. ISSN 1029-3019.
Introduction: The use of a standard therapeutic antituberculous regime is essential to control the tuberculosis and with that objective the authors developed a general model to study and control its quality. Objectives: To identify and describe the component subprocesses of that chemotherapy and some resulting data of their evaluation in the municipality. Methods: A combination of studies was applied (qualitative and quantitative) by means of documental reviewings and open interviews, and a cross-sectional investigation was carried out. Results: In this respect, it was found in the municipality of Guantánamo of the same province that in the 46 carriers of lung tuberculosis with positive bacilloscopy, their adherence to the treatment guaranteed that it was successful in those diagnosed between October and December, 2007 (quarterly report), with an approximate delay of 5 days between the confirmation of the illness and the beginning of the therapeutic plan, to what it was added that the adverse reactions were presented just in 3 patients. Conclusions: It is imposed to carry out quarterly evaluative confirmations.
