Abstract

Introduction: curricular Strategies incorporate a new look to the vision of the training process characteristics in higher education. Its objectives are related to specific knowledge, skills and performance modes key student training, which cannot be achieved from the perspective of a discipline or subject, or with integrated curriculum, require the participation of curricular units of the career. Objective: to design a methodology for the implementation of the Curriculum Research and Information Strategy in the medical career. Methods: a development research on the universe corresponding to all subjects of the medical career from first to fifth year and intentional sample of 13 subjects. Theoretical methods were applied to realize regularities, trends, concepts and methodology that enabled base projections and find solution to the problem under investigation and empirical methods for obtaining information, questionnaires were administered to 116 teachers, observing ten and six classes justify the proposed methodology allowed. Results: the methodology was designed in four stages with various actions and methodological guidelines for its implementation and assessment by different levels of integration of the career. Conclusion: the Strategy Research and Computer Curriculum does not apply as stated in the medical career. The methodology for implementing the strategy proposed Curriculum fosters interdisciplinary relationship of all subjects of the curriculum with the Medical Informatics Discipline.
