Abstract

BARBON PEREZ, Olga Gloria. Some considerations on communication, gender and adolescent pregnancy prevention. Rev Cubana Hig Epidemiol [online]. 2012, vol.50, n.2, pp.245-249. ISSN 1561-3003.

The main risks stemming from adolescent pregnancy affect the female gender, creating inequalities between the adolescents involved. In such a context, communication must play a mediating role from the perspective of the social construction process which differentiates men and women, and governs their relationship to power and resources. In the present article, the author discusses her views on the triad communication, gender and adolescent pregnancy prevention.

Keywords : communication; gender; adolescent pregnancy; prevention.
