PEREZ ESTEVEZ, Osvaldo; FUENTES CAMARGO, María J; MENENDEZ GARCIAS, Reinaldo  and  LICOURT MARTINEZ, Deysis. Identification of the factors influencing on the strengthening of knowledge in pregraduate students. Rev Ciencias Médicas [online]. 2007, vol.11, n.3, pp. 200-211. ISSN 1561-3194.

A study on the factors influencing on the strengthening of knowledge in pregraduate students is carried out with an observational descriptive and cross- sectional study doing a performance test in 47 students in the 2nd academic year of the Medical Science at "Ernesto Che Guevara de la Serna "in Pinar del Río who attended the Introductory Lecture on Medical Genetics. They were evaluated for finding out their difficulties in the study habits in order to design a working plan. From the total of the students 70,21% prefer those subjects non related to Genetics, from the students evaluated (2 marks) most of them (70%) do not study in the same place and prefer to do it at night, 60% study accompanied and 50% do it during two hours only. Out of the sample, 74,47% consider that their performance as students is good and although some of them do not have a proper vocational orientation, most of them give valid suggestions to be considered.
