Abstract

A case presenting the diagnosis of Tethered Cord Syndrome was assisted at "Mario Catarino Rivas" Hospital in the Service of Neurosurgery, San Pedro Sula, Honduras-2009. A 22 year-old female patient with health records presented urinary retention of two years of natural history. Tethered cord syndrome was diagnosed and the patient underwent a surgery with satisfactory results; this is a rare pathology in adults with only 60 cases reported at present.
