This research paper was aimed at preparing the structural and functional relations of a system of communicative tasks in English Language (Vision One) to the 1st academic year of Dentistry at Medical University in Pinar del Rio. A documentary analysis of the student's text book, reports of the English department, minutes from the meetings of the teaching staff, results of tests, controls to lessons; experience of the group of professors and of the author's own experience were as well examined, where the existence of problems arose, and observing deficiencies in the teaching and learning materials used in the direction of the teaching-learning process along with the levels of knowledge reached by the students, particularly in the development of oral skills. Results were far from the prospects and social needs, which motivated the implementation of this descriptive-explanatory research. By means of the analysis of Unit-2 of Vision One course, the structural and functional relations that this system of communicative tasks in English Language must contain, were referred and exemplified.
