Abstract

Introduction:

scientific societies of the healthcare sector, through their chapters, play an essential role in researches, dissemination of relevant information, knowledge and awareness on the prevention and control of the outbreak of COVID-19 all over the world today.

Objective:

to describe the leading role of health science professors, during the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in Artemisa.

Methods:

descriptive and analytical research conducted at Artemisa School of Medical Sciences, during March to July 2020 with all member of Artemisa chapter. A search for specialized information on the subject and a review of the documents of the board of Artemisa chapter was completed and recorded in a computerized database that was designed for this purpose.

Results:

health science professors stand out with a 29,4 % participation in the active survey, dealing effectively with COVID-19 pandemic.

Conclusions:

health science professors marked a leading role during the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in Artemisa.
