Abstract

Citrus leprosis virus (CiLV-C) is a serious viral disease not present in Cuba so then it is included in Cuban Official List of Quarantined Organisms; it is vectored by Brevipalpus mites, and the most important of them is Brevipalpus phoenicis Geijskes which is commonly found in Cuban citrus. El CiLV-C is found in nearby countries and the fact that the vector is in the country may contribute to its spread if it is introduced. In this way, a current work of main aspects related with the disease was conducted, where important topics about its feasible introduction and spread are valued
