Abstract

CRUZ TRIANA, Ariel  and  RIVERO GONZALEZ, Deyanira. Effect of OleoNim 50 on Growth and Development in vitro of Rice (Oryza sativa Lin.) Phytopatogen Fungi. Fitosanidad [online]. 2009, vol.13, n.4, pp. 271-276. ISSN 1818-1686.

Usual applications of chemical fungicides which are established in plant health strategies on rice become more harmful for men and the environment, besides it does not get the expected control in many instances. Taking this problems into account, in the present work was evaluated the in vitro effect of OleoNim 50 CE, on the growth and development of plant pathogen fungi Pyricularia grisea, Rhizoctonia solani, Sarocladium oryzae, Bipolaris oryzae, Fusarium sp and Curvularia lunata, isolated from rice spotted grains. It was proved that OleoNim 50 CE had an inhibitory effect on the mycelial growth, sporulation and conidial germination of the evaluated fungi, what offers new perspectives for the rice fungal disease control.

Keywords : nim; Pyricularia grisea; Rhizoctonia solani; Sarocladium oryzae; Bipolaris oryzae; Fusarium sp; Curvularia lunata.
