Not much experience there is in Cuba in applying HEC-HMS hydrologic-mathematical model due to difficulties for inconveniences with observation, conservation and organization of necessary basic hydro-meteorological information. An «Integral Hydro-Meteorological Scheme for HEC-HMS» created in the country with the objective to palliate these difficulties, was applied to the existing hydro-meteorological information in the hydrological modelling with HEC-HMS to Las Coloradas basin. This process allows compilation, organization and preliminary analysis of existing information in order to determine what can be really accounted for to define modeling options to be used. It also speeds up and increases the quality of the information search and modeling processes, which is the final purpose of this contribution.
