Abstract

TORRES HUGUES, Ronnie  and  CRUZ NARDO, Ricardo. Wind-blown transport capacity of sand toward dunes in Los Taínos, Varadero, Cuba. RIHA [online]. 2014, vol.35, n.2, pp. 52-65. ISSN 1680-0338.

In this work Los Taínos beach, in Varadero, is characterized taking into account sand grain patterns, incident wind andits directions. It was made in such a way that monthly and annual behaviour of wind sediment transport capacity can be determine dapplying several mathematical expressions. Selection of the design year with respect to wind data was an important step, which establishes main directions of attack for this coastal segment. Also, wind-blown transport toward dunes for all the study area was determined.
