In this work the process of study and evaluation of alternatives to mitigate coastal erosion in Oasis beach sector of Varadero beach is presented. These alternatives are chosen from traditional engineering solutions, where one of them is consider as a reference. When the better alternative is selected, its design is carried through. For all these processes, informatic tools with international recognition were used. With those tools different phenomena as wave dynamics, sediment transport and wave-structure-sediment interaction for different climate conditions were modelled. The capacity of sediment transport generated in each alternative was taken as the main evaluation factor.
