Abstract

VEGA SAGARRA, Xanay. Different solutions for the delimitation and coding of surface basins. riha [online]. 2020, vol.41, n.2, pp. 75-84.  Epub Nov 01, 2020. ISSN 1680-0338.

The surface basin is the area of the earth's surface where the raindrops that fall on it tend to be drained by the system of currents to the same exit point. In the present work, a comparison between different methods for the delimitation and codification of surface basins is developed, such as the Horton-Strahler, Shreve and Nancy Mora Method, indicating to each of them advantages and disadvantages, through the use of ArcMap Geographic Information System (GIS) 10.2.1.

Keywords : ArcMap 10.2.1.; surface watershed; delimit and code; methods.
