Abstract

DEL PUERTO SANCHEZ, Julio Antonio  and  MARTINEZ VALDES, Yaset. Environmental and anthropic hazards on the waters in the Ondjiva Commune, Angola. riha [online]. 2021, vol.42, n.3, pp. 22-46.  Epub July 21, 2021. ISSN 1680-0338.

This paper addresses aspects related to the identification of environmental hazards that affect the Ondjiva commune and their direct interrelation with water pollution, typical of anthropic action. From the study of the water resources of the study area, an evaluation of the risks due to anthropic contamination on the waters was carried out. The research was structured in four stages, the main results of which were: a typological model of environmental hazards and a geostatistical model of the quality of surface and groundwater in the study area. Through the characterization and zoning of natural and anthropic factors in the study region, solid waste pollution is identified as the main pollutant focus of the waters of the Ondjiva Commune.

Keywords : waters; geostatistical model; typological model; Ondjiva; environmental hazards.
