Abstract

LEON RUIZ, Juan Eduardo et al. Hydric requirements for the beans cultivation variety Calima in Riobamba, Ecuador. Ing. hidrául. ambient. [online]. 2022, vol.43, n.1, pp. 25-37.  Epub Feb 22, 2022. ISSN 2788-6050.

The current research proposes defining the water requirements for (Phasheolus vulgaris var. calima) under the weather conditions of Riobamba County, Chimborazo province, Ecuador. For this, it was necessary to use a complete randomized block design whit three treatments and three repetitions. Treatment 1, irrigation sheets determinate by the drain lysimeter; treatment 2, irritation sheets determined by the evaporation tank Type A; and treatment 3, irrigation sheets determined by the empirical calculation of the evapotranspiration of the crop. In addition, the crop coefficient values were also determined and adjusted for each phonological stage. The variables evaluated were days to emergency, flowering, sheathed and harvest, plant height, WRC, number of sheath, yield, and water footprint. The adjusted crop coefficient values (Kc) were 0,65, 0,96, 1,05, 0,86 for the first, intermediate, and final development stage respectively.

Keywords : Kc coefficient; irrigation sheets; drain lysimeters; evaporation tank water.
