The theme of the organizational culture has great importance and novelty. Dealing with it is a great challenge. Knowing and managing it is very necessary for an efficacious and efficient management of health organizational systems. The objective of the current article is giving some theoretical elements to achieve the sensitization of the system collectives in blending organizational culture with knowledge and management of organizational values. It is a documental review on the theme and the experience obtained by the authors in relation with its conceptualization, elements, characteristics, functions, formation, maintenance and development, and also its barriers, classifications and values as its basis. Organizational culture is considered as one of the main pillars for developing and transforming health organizational systems.
