Abstract

DIAZ GONZALEZ, Leticia et al. Foreign body in esophagus: Apropos of a case. Rev. Med. Electrón. [online]. 2010, vol.32, n.1, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1684-1824.

A male patient assisted to our gastroenterology consultation presenting difficulties to swallow since last night. We decided to make an urgent esophagoscopy and found a foreign body in distal esophagus. It also was observed a Schatzki´s mucous ring associated to a hiatal hernia Type II, with erythema and orange mucous clusters in the distal third. A biopsy was made and after receiving the histology we decided to study it in endoscopic surgery consultation. An anti-reflux technique was applied with a good evolution.
