Abstract

This work gathers historical synthesis of the first hospital facilities of the city of Camagüey from the colonial times up to present days. It provides an approach about the image of hospital institutions from a historical outlook. The methods used to gather the information were bibliographical revisions and personal interviews. The work has as objective to poke in the image of the hospitals of the city from their beginnings until the revolutionary victory. With their spreading we aim at contributing to the formation of our students, and to give them data and information about the professionals that participate in this process, of knowing about our beginnings in the field
