Abstract

DEL RISCO TURINO, Carlos; ALVAREZ VAZQUEZ, Jorge; GUTIERREZ LABORIT, Antonio  and  DEL RISCO VELOZ, Diana. Axiologic Neutrality in Science. A contribution to reflection. Rev Hum Med [online]. 2006, vol.6, n.1. ISSN 1727-8120.

The authors intend, in the light of the current knowledge of science, specifically the social Sciences, to expose their valuation on the necessary interdependence between the object of the scientific investigation and the way it takes part in the context that surrounds it. Urgent epistemologist problems, already of long dates in the history of science, charge force and become current events, facing the complex situation that confronts contemporary world. Among them, it is approached in this article, the one that mentions a supposed ideological purity of science and guides it to take distance of all commitment with the society that engenders it: the claimed axiological neutrality.

Keywords : PHILOSOPHY; SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIETY.
