Abstract

This article attempts to unfold the context of demands of this new century marked by knowledge management, and its influence on the change of mentality of contemporary university to fulfill professional education. This is the first of other forthcoming articles presenting divergent conceptions to what current literature provides concerning the development of problem solving skills considered as integrative, complex, and universal, and, as a result, the argumentation of an integrated perspective of the didactical strategy entitled Learning Based on the Solution of Research Tasks (LBSRT), main result of a project belonging to the Ministry of Higher Education of Cuba carried out and led by the authors.
