This article briefly discourses about different moments from which the Medical University from Camagüey city has gone, all that which allows to exhibit the achievements and the impact that it has had in its formative, investigative, and university extension processes in the provincial, national and international context. For that reason, there were used, in essence, methods of the theoretical level, mainly, the historical-logical one, to capture the 40 year-old results.
