Competition integrates abilities, attitudes and knowledge; characterize the capability to accomplish a task efficiently, to practice a profession, to resolve professional problems of autonomous and flexible form, to collaborate at the professional surroundings and in the organization of work. When changes labor space and the Science develop, the modeling of competitions varies, because the fringe benefit of services demands a preparation that respond to new knowledge and introduction of technologies that the doctor will have to apply. Each science contributes with knowledge that hold work at the clinic and health practice that graduate will execute. In this work we appraise the contribution of immunology to the quality of medical graduate relating to his professional competitions and the present-day deficiencies in the formation. In order to make competitions perfect, the teaching of Immunology can do contributions, but requires changes in his conception, their curricular position and in the methods used for his teaching, considering the principal problems of health implicating immune system in etiopatogenia. This teaching will guide the manners of action and of performance of the doctor in the community
