Abstract

Most of the domestic accidents is not fatal. In the services of first aids of the big cities weekly many cases of homelike accidents are assisted, with very diverse degrees of severity. Objective: to Modify knowledge on accidents in adolescents from 10 to 14 years of age belonging to a commune of HaitiEducational Intervention. I Study carried out in the Commune of Moron, department of the Grand Anse, Republic of Haiti in the period of April to October of the 2004. 73 children were included with risk of accidents, previously selected and a sample of 20 children was selected that had suffered some accident type previously for 27.3%, being carried out collective activities about the topic in study. Alone 10% of the universe had information about accidents, which was inadequate. Later to the educational intervention, the Cuban team of health achieved that the immense majority of the adolescents acquired appropriate information on the accidents.
