Abstract

Diarrhea is a very serious public health problem in developing countries, resulting in millions of deaths each year. The Correlacional accomplished a descriptive study itself, of transverse retrospective cut, of Illness Acute Diarrhea Disease (ADD) and its possible relation with the sanitary quality of the water of consumption at the municipality Bejucal from 2003 to 2007, in order to ascertain the relation among the mobility for ADD and the sanitary quality of the water of consumption. There are described the characteristics of the patients with diarrheal intense illness according to chosen time variables, place and person. The sanitary quality of the water of consumption, according to sampling accomplished was determinations. It was utilized the method of descriptive statistics, measures of summary were applicable, expressed in percent, rate and halfway value of rate; for the test of significance of contrasts, they fixed levels and trusty intervals and a model of linear regression was applicable. It was found that ADD and the quality of the water of consumption, are related on the contrary; but this correlation is not significant.
