Abstract

This work has to do with the teaching-learning process of Mathematics aimed at the student’s cognitive independence guided by the professor, due to the fact that this aspect is a current problem in the process of attaining knowledge and developing skills on the part of the students. The use of problem-solving methods and concept maps is approached. A methodological proposal is presented in order to put into practice the students’ capability to develop logical and deductive thinking, their abilities to summarize and apply that knowledge in problem solving.
