Abstract

ALONSO-BETANCOURT, Luis Aníbal; CORRAL-JONIAUX, Jorge Antonio  and  PARENTE-PEREZ, Eliset. Flipped classroom method for the formation of professional metacompetences in university students based on blended learning (bLearning). Luz [online]. 2023, vol.22, n.3, pp. 108-124.  Epub Sep 15, 2023. ISSN 1814-151X.

The article proposes a flipped classroom method for the formation of professional meta-competences of university students, which expresses as a scientific novelty the establishment of a dynamics that systematizes the learning modality bLearning (combination of face-to-face and online learning), based on the integration of the academic component with the work and research component. The research is focused towards a quantitative approach of pre-experimental type. The study sample consisted of 60 students of the Mechanical Engineering major of the University of Holguín. Documentary analysis, the systemic approach, observation, the pre-pedagogical experiment and the Chi-square (X2) statistic were used as methods. After the analysis of the data, the existence of significant transformations in the professional formation of meta-competences in university students in their professional activities that generated favorable impacts in the productive and services processes in those that were inserted at work was verified, concluding that the method contributes to raising the quality of professional training of university students from a more comprehensive, flexible and contextualized approach, based on the combination of online and face-to-face learning styles.
