Abstract

QUIALA ARMENTEROS, Yuniey; ALVAREZ LOPEZ, Arnoldo E.  and  FERNANDEZ SERRANO, Elda. Method of primary aptitude: effective tool to evaluate industrial microlocalizations environmentally. Arquitectura y Urbanismo [online]. 2014, vol.35, n.3, pp. 83-102. ISSN 1815-5898.

The specific localization and site analysis are very important aspects for the location of industries, for their further consequences and potential environmental impacts over time. The method of Primary Aptitude in environmental regulatory activity, allowed us to evaluate the microlocalization of the Acetylene Plant of Villa Clara, both when it was built as in the present. Appropriateness of the Physical Environment in relation to the environmental impact associated with the technological process of production of acetylene gas is determined. For the development of the research the site analysis method was employed as well as the Primary Aptitude method. Techniques of GIS (Mapinfo 10.5) and environmental impact assessment were applied. The results are expressed in capability, vulnerability and fitness maps. It is concluded that the method is suitable as it allowed to evaluate the effectiveness of the microlocalization.

Keywords : microlocalization; elementary fitness; environmental impact assessment.
