Abstract

In Cuba exists a few studies about the main interaction mechanisms between university and enterprise and their innovative activity performance impact. This interaction has assumed interesting characteristics that can provide lessons for greater contribution to the socio-economic development of the country. The objective of this paper is to analyze the interaction mechanisms between the Cuban enterprises from the electrical sector and a research electrical center of CUJAE. The case study is based on a survey applied to the managers and specialists of the Cuban electricity sector, teachers and researchers from the University. In this work the interaction channels are analized according to their importance to the interaction between both and the results were compared with the results obtained for other Latin America countries. The traditional and bidirectional channels were the most important for both university and enterprise in the present case, and similar results that were obtained in other countries
