Abstract

ALFONSO PADURA, Yaima et al. Analysis of criticality in the mechanical systems of the generators. Energética [online]. 2017, vol.38, n.3, pp. 237-243. ISSN 1815-5901.

The research was develope in a power plant consisting of 6 batteries with 4 motors of 2.5 MW of power each. The goal was to hierarchize the mechanical systems that make up the MCI in a power plant, using a criticality model. For the hierarchization of the systems was done with the help of the Criticality Analysis Model in the generating sets. This model allowed to show a hierarchical list of the systems in high, medium and low criticity to give a criterion of direction of the resources and to improve the management of the maintenance. In order to apply this model, all the data of the failures of each engine were collected in a period of one year. As a result, the most critical systems were the fuel injection, intake and exhaust systems, and engine cooling

Keywords : criticality analysis; generator sets; maintenance management; mechanical systems.
