Abstract
MEDRANO HERNANDEZ, José Augusto and MORENO FIGUEREDO, Conrado. Analysis of the turbulence influence in the energy production of wind turbines. Energética [online]. 2019, vol.40, n.1, pp.53-62. ISSN 1815-5901.
The present work arises from the need to develop projects for electricity production. From a measurements campaign and the wind resource assessment in the coast of Santa Cruz del Norte, where the anemometric station "Caribe" was installed, where the average wind speed at 50m above the earth is 6,47m/ s. The wind turbine Goldwind S48/750 behavior, from the chinese company Goldwind, is analyzed, working under the wind conditions of the place taken as a study place for a turbulence index of 7%, obtaining a new power curve of the machine operating under these conditions, since the original power curve is elaborated for a turbulence index of 10%. Finally, the difference between these powers is quantified, demonstrating the influence of the characteristics of the installation site of the machine in its operation.
