Abstract

In recent years it has been increased the use and volume of digital contents in the organizations, which require treatment and management that is appropriate to the existing high technological complexity. The tools developed under this context are named Content Management Systems or Content Management. Some systems extend their functionality, due to the need to ensure, in all dimensions, the management of Digital Objects. This paper presents a proposed model for managing digital objects in order to support the production of software components. The required processes, subprocesses and roles are detailed, which support the activities of the proposed model. It is also presented a design for the structure of Digital Objects. The paper ends with the description of the results of applying the model in 2 entities and the comparison with other tools on the market.
