The study of organizations and their managers has always been an uncharted ground for analysts of leadership and emotional intelligence into the organizational culture. The objective of this paper is to diagnose the leadership style through the application of the leader's window and the emotional intelligence to a group of directors and other managers at two different levels at the Ministry of Tourism in Havana, Cuba; taking into consideration the organizational culture. The results of the application of tests, surveys and interviews showed that the existence of some characteristics of the culture requires a further study of the leadership style of directors (especially the style of development and solution of problems). This confirmed the necessity of developing the motivation as one of the competences of the emotional intelligence field, without leaving behind other emotional competences.
