This paper outlines a method for the calculation and evaluation of innovative intensity, through a global index appropriate for technology based firm of hydraulic Cuban sector, integrating the concepts of internal control, quality, innovation and environment. A revision on the state of the knowledge about the mensuration of the innovation and its impact in the managerial economy allowed the analysis of about a hundred indicative and of results of the innovative process those that are not always presented in an appropriate balance that allows an preventive action of the innovative administration in the managerial context. The results obtained for five (5) years from the first deployment of technology strategy in the firm under study, indicate the feasibility and relevance of its application for the improvement of the innovative process and of the managerial administration.
