Abstract

This article was initiated from the Ergonomics discipline explanation of the principal concepts associated with ergonomics intervention, their conceptual bases and principal characteristics which sustain the tools that have been developed in Cuba and Brazil. The essential argument of the article is that employment of macroergonomics intervention tools allows optimizing work systems’ performance. A procedure designed and developed in Cuba is presented and also, its phases and steps that have been applied to manufacture and service enterprises are explained. Participative Ergonomics is a distinctive aspect of Macroergonomics that is considered in the tool that is presented. The principal results obtained in various applications carried out in Cuba showed improvement of quality, productivity and work life quality of the workers.
