Abstract
FIGUEROA-HERNANDEZ, Carlos et al. Analysis of the fatigue phenomenon on mono-component dentals implants. Ingeniería Mecánica [online]. 2020, vol.23, n.1 Epub Apr 01, 2020. ISSN 1815-5944.
In the present work an analysis is made on the fatigue phenomena that is present in dental implants mono-component, which have a different design to those that are commercialized nowadays. Fatigue fracture mechanics models were used in combination with finite element simulation processes. The selected models consider the presence of defects in the material and its influence on the number of fatigue cycles, both in the initiation stage and during the propagation of crack. The geometrical and tensional parameters selected for the simulation correspond to ISO 14801. The proposed analysis allows to evaluate the fatigue phenomena present in the dental implants mono-component, determining the number of cycles until the break, which reached the value of 1,9 x 104 using 220 N as maximum load. The variation of the tension intensification factor ( ) was determined, evaluating its behavior for different load conditions during the path of the crack. The maximum value obtained was 464 MPa .
