The relevance of the Mechanical Engineering career at the Universidad de Oriente and its contribution to solving the problems of the territory and / or country, is manifested through the work of its teachers, workers and students. This is recognized by related institutions and entities inside and outside the country. This work evaluates the relevance and impact of the Mechanical Engineering career at the Universidad de Oriente and illustrates the high quality pattern of this university career, a pioneer in Cuba in the training of mechanical engineers. The results obtained show an outstanding positive influence on the development of society, expressed in technical, political, economic and social aspects.
