Abstract

OROZA BUSUTIL, Rebeca  and  PUENTE MARQUEZ, Yoannis. Migration and Communication: their relation on the current globalized world. Rev Nov Pob [online]. 2017, vol.13, n.25, pp.10-16. ISSN 1817-4078.

In today's world information and communication technologies provide multiple ways of bringing two worlds, two languages, two cultures with immediacy and quality. Communication within the migration process is an indispensable entity of transnational families who rely on the media to solve problems and provide samples of love and comfort from the distance to their loved ones. Identities and cultures are mixed in the migration process and the use of networks as promotion of migration, are topics to be addressed in this look at the migration-communication relationship.

Keywords : international migration; media; social networks; transnational families.
