Post graduate education is one of the main courses of action of work in Superior Medical Education in Cuba. Academic post graduate development in Medical Sciences has as a goal, to achieve a high professional competence and advances in order to create capability for investigation and innovation, which is identifiable with an academic title or a scientific grade. It must be conducted by an experienced tutor with a high scientific grade and pedagogic preparation. Considerations are done about the education categorization, the specialty tutors, the current residents, the position of the author and considerations about the topic
