Abstract
FUENTES SUAREZ, Iselys; MONTERO PADRON, Barbarita and DIAZ FALCON, Dayana. Scientific-technological bases for the development of adolescence in its social context, a demand of current Cuba. Conrado [online]. 2019, vol.15, n.67, pp.149-157. Epub June 02, 2019. ISSN 2519-7320.
The article reflects on the relevance of the Science Technology and Society (CTS) approach for both the scientific and technological understanding of this period of life, which promotes tools to understand and deal adequately with the contradictions of this stage of transition; as for the change in educational practices. In this sense, the relevance of the Science, Technology and Society (CTS) approach is supported, both for scientific technological understanding of this period of life, which promotes tools to understand and deal adequately with the contradictions of this transition phase; and for change in educational practices. From this perspective, an analysis of the relationship between the characteristics of adolescence and the public policies established in Cuba for the attention to this strategic sector of the society is carried out. Likewise, it raises the desirability of the organization and development of the teaching learning process, taking into account the methodologies inherent to the CTS education, such as: participation in debates.
