Abstract

This article explores the impact of affective parental competence in the education of children with disabilities based on results obtained in the Competitive Research Fund project "Importance of the Development of Parental Competences in the Educational Inclusion Process" of the University of Guayaquil, the same one that was developed raising information from May to December 2018 in two educational institutions for children with disabilities, La Floresta Specialized Education Unit and Francisco De Orellana Educational Unit, both from the city of Guayaquil, through a Descriptive methodology, quantitative and qualitative, presenting results about parental competences and their effect on the development of their children, based on the management of the Positive Parenting Scale developed by the Ideas for Children Foundation of Chile, applied to a total population of 107 parents with a population of children, divided into age ranges: from 4 to 7 years - 22, from 8 to 12 - 49 and from 13 to 18 - 35, allowing in the end to relate relevant aspects to emotional competencies with educational competence and how they are mutually influenced.
