JUCA MALDONADO, Fernando; BRITO, Brian; GARCIA SALTOS, María Beatriz  and  BURGO BENCOMO, Odalys Bárbara. The digital transformation in the academic processes of the university as an alternative to reducing the impact on the environment. Conrado [online]. 2019, vol.15, n.67, pp. 309-316.  Epub June 02, 2019. ISSN 1990-8644.

Digital transformation requires applying changes in the learning and development processes. These changes and how to implement them from the experience developed in the process of pre professional practices of the Metropolitan University of Machala is the intention of the present work, where all the participating teachers and students were involved, so that they assume these changes in the modality of work, communication and presentation of results, considering the advantages of using online tools and platforms for project control versus traditional forms through email or even worse for printed documents that generally have to be printed more than one time and impact the environment.

Keywords : Digital transformation; online platforms; environment; processes; university.
