Abstract

ROBLES ALTAMIRANO, Adriana Lourdes; NARANJO PINELA, Teresa Celeste; VALDERRAMA BARRAGAN, Gloria Angélica  and  ROVALINO PALACIOS, Eisenhover Bradley. Socio-psychopedagogical factors that affect the low performance of the students of “Paulino Milán Herrera” Educational Unit. Conrado [online]. 2019, vol.15, n.67, pp.349-354.  Epub June 02, 2019. This work is part of the study lines of the research project "School performance in vulnerable groups of Canton Milagro", whose main objective is to investigate the social, pedagogical, psychological and health causes that provoke low performance in students who go to the educational institutions of vulnerable sectors of the Milagro Canton, of the Guayas province of the Republic of Ecuador. In particular, this work focuses on elucidating those socio-psycho-pedagogical factors that have a direct impact on the low performance of schoolchildren of the "Paulino Milán Herrera" Educational Unit. For the study, we worked with a probabilistic sample consisting of 52 students to whom a survey was applied taking into account dimensions, subdimensions and indicators in correspondence with the study variable. The determined indicators guided the development of the corresponding instruments, among them, the surveys, which were applied in the "Paulino Milán Herrera" Educational Unit. The processing of the data was carried out by dimension, the most affected sub-dimensions and the most achieved were determined according to the results by indicators.
