In the present work, the theoretical foundations and the elements that address the formation of values in upper secondary students are conceptualized. The tendencies and characteristics in the process of its formation are detailed, the theoretical foundation of values, the classification of them and the characteristics and definitions given by different authors related to the formation of Values ​​in these students. The process of training students of the upper secondary level has gone through different stages, not exempt from problems and limitations, but with a scientific endorsement and results, in permanent rise, which have considerably raised the level of teaching of the students, ensuring the acquisition of specific competences that allow them to move towards a society that is immersed in new forms of communication, offering graduates of the upper middle level the ability to participate actively in social processes. The analysis of the reviewed literature made it possible to specify the formation of values as a fundamental scoop in education at the secondary level.
