Abstract

This article arises from the research project “Risk Factors in the School Desertion of the Public Education System in the Municipality of Girardot. 2018 - 2019” funded by the Minuto de Dios University. The objective of the project is to understand the risk factors associated to the problem and for this purpose it was established as methodology the mixed approach with prevalence of the qualitative-descriptive aspect. The data collection was organized in three phases: the first involves the principals; the second one, teachers and counselors; the third one, the students, and the fourth one was directed to parents and community.
