Abstract

The present work is carried out with the objective of analyzing the expertise from the perspective of Social Work; responds to a type of bibliographic review research, systematized by the hermeneutic method and the content analysis technique that facilitated the study and interpretation and comparison of the texts obtained from different scientific sources: degree theses, scientific articles and specialized literature on the subject study. Among the main findings, it is particularized that the social appraisal, more than a report, is a specialty that focuses on an interface between the legal system and the social services system; Judicial expertise is a report that is rendered by specialists at the request of the judge on knowledge other than legal on a fact or circumstance of the summary; they are judicial evidence provided and validated by the forensic social worker in collaboration with different specialists, who contribute to the holistic understanding of the situation involved in the judicial system.
