The training and development of research skills in the training of professionals has been reviewed in various educational research at the international level. The aim of this work is to offer some theoretical considerations related to the development of research skills and their leading role in the professional training of dentistry. In dental schools it is necessary that research skills be developed appropriately as professional skills, which respond to their integral formation in the academic, scientific and research field.
