The use of modern management tools is a requirement of both: the productive sector and public entities, and among them, universities. Among these tools, knowledge management stands out and, as an integral element of it, its audit. The Knowledge Audit is complemented by the realization of inventories and knowledge maps, the application of questionnaires and, more recently, the Analysis of Social Networks. The objective of the work is to propose two cases of application of knowledge audits with the use of social networks and inventory of knowledge as support for university management. As main results are shown, in the first, a group of recommendations to improve the information of the Balance of Science and Technique in the faculties; as well as a group of analysis possibilities to be carried out and, in the second, a work strategy with the consequent saving of human resources in the investigations that are carried out in a prioritized company.
