The foundation of the Nepohualtzintzin is described as an instrument of calculation and its use for the performance of basic arithmetic operations. It shows the operability of the instrument and how the system fits perfectly to the current writing of the numbers. From the need to implement this ethno mathematical resource in the educational practice, the design, development and evaluation in the system of methodological activities for the theoretical, practical and didactic preparation for the use of Nepohualtzintzin. This is a methodology that integrates the elements of qualitative and quantitative research.
